A birds advice
I walked to town today,
I heard a voice speak to be,
It spoke to me along the way,
"What in your mind you see,
Is not what the future holds"
I looked around for my wise sage,
And what did I see in the ditchs folds,
But a small bird in a cage.
"And of this what would a bird know?"
It said to me in tones so sweet.
"I have the knowledge of what sow,
I know that you have demans to beat,
But you keep them so close to you.
That though you are strong,
It just won't do.
You know I'm not wrong.
You plan and plan,
With tireless care,
But what is it of the plan that you can not stand?
What is you can not bear?
You run and run without hope,
But you bring your pain along too.
How can you hope to cope,
If thats what you do?"
I looked at my prof,
And i looked down that road.
I turned my head to cough,
And when I looked back for my profs abode,
Nothing was to be found.
I looked everyway and above,
But the bird was not around.
But I cast off the pain that I had so loved.
I heard a voice speak to be,
It spoke to me along the way,
"What in your mind you see,
Is not what the future holds"
I looked around for my wise sage,
And what did I see in the ditchs folds,
But a small bird in a cage.
